Book Sense T50

The new portable digital audio book player, BookSense, allows people to access information for education, information, and entertainment. Students can access school textbooks, people in the workplace can stay current with journals or business magazines, and anyone can enjoy newspapers, favorite novels, a bestseller, and even their favorite music.

With a comfortable feel when held in your hand, the BookSense is very easy to use. Weighing only four ounces, it is portable and powerful and easily fits into a shirt pocket, backpack, or purse, so you can take it anywhere.

Two models are offered : BookSense and BookSense XT. Both models play audio files, DAISY content, and read documents. Secured-Digital (SD) memory card slot, and built-in digital recorder are all standard features on both the BookSense and BookSense XT. The media player supports a variety of formats, such as MP3, MP4, OGG, WAV, WAX, M4A, and WMA. Use the media player to listen to your music collection, including music downloaded from Apple iTunes.

Daisy player
It supports all types of DAISY formats; DAISY 2.0, 2.02, ANSI/NISO Z39.86 (DAISY 3.0), DAISY XML/Digital Talking Book, NLS, Bookshare, NIMAS1.1.
(RFB&D is currently evaluating the BookSense for authorization to playback their DAISY Downloadable audiobooks. )
Media player
It can play various types of audio files; MP3, MP4, WAV, WMA, WMV, OGG, ASF, FLAC, 3GP, Audible audio(.aa, .aax).
Document reader
BookSense reads text and Braille files; TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, HTML/XML, SML, BRL, BRF, Bookshare Braille files.
Recording
BookSense can record voice from the internal microphone or external microphone, external audio sources via line-in and FM radio in WAV or MP3 format.
Convenient data transfer
Playback data can be downloaded easily by connecting BookSense to PC via USB. Or just copy the desired files to SD card in the PC and insert this SD card to BookSense.
FM radio (T50XT only)
Bluetooth (T50XT only)
Bluetooth headset can be connected to BookSense XT wirelessly. Or you can download files from PC to BookSense XT via Bluetooth.
Time and date
Checking time and date in voice is available at any time, even while the unit is turned off.

Detachable and rechargeable battery
Detachable and rechargeable battery lasts more than 12 hours by one full charge.

We highly recommend to use Bluetooth stereo 2.0 headsets support A2DP(The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile), since BookSense XT only supports A2DP.

BookSense can be connected external CD-ROM which receives from external power supply.

We have two BookSense models; one is standard BookSense and the other one is advanced one with additional hardware features called BookSense XT.

The color of BookSense is red and the color of BookSense XT is white.

Please connect the BookSense to the PC using USB cable that are in the package of BookSense.

Open the Explorer on the PC and then you can find Removable storage which is the internal memory or SD card in the BookSense.

Just drag and drop the files that you want to transfer to the BookSense from the folder of your PC to the appropriate folder of BookSense. Or if your PC has SD card slot, please insert the SD card in your PC and copy desired files to the SD card. And then take the SD card from the PC and insert it into the SD slot of BookSense.

Most of function of BookSense is the same as those of BookSense XT. BookSense XT has additional features like 4 GB internal flash memory for the user data, Bluetooth for wireless headphone and FM radio.
